The Emery House is a 3-story brick Georgian Colonial house in the National Register Historic District of downtown Muskegon's Heritage Village, 2 blocks from Muskegon Lake. House was built in 1903 by John Emery,Jr., co-founder of the Shaw Electric Crane Company and President of National Lumberman's Bank. Come back to the grand Georgian style of this turn of the century home with a grand staircase leading to the 2nd floor bedrooms. Bedrooms in-house are tastefully decorated w/antiques. There is a quaint, private suite in the carriage house. The 3rd floor ballroom will bring you back to the days when the ladies in long gowns & gents in starched shirts circled the floor to a graceful waltz. Turn of the century mystery lady portraits look on from the walls.
